All lesson prices are per hour .For your first few lessons when we meet ,I will drive you to an area where, although they are ordinary roads, they are not busy and wont make you feel uncomfortable .I can also drive you home afterwards if needs be. This allows you to pick up the basics of car control before we venture onto busier roads and when I am driving it will help you to see how I put into practice what I am teaching.

In the early stages of learning, I find 2 hour lessons are better as there is so much to learn . As you get better, 1 hour lessons may be enough – but many pupils find that 2 hour lessons are more beneficial, and these can be fortnightly if that suits your budget better.

Once you have passed your driving test , you can further improve by taking an advanced course if you wish. I can help with this as I can give you lessons in subjects not covered in the driving test to help you master the transition from driving around with me ,to being out on your own. Examples of these are...motorway driving, advanced hazard perception, skid control etc. I can also help those who may have been driving for some time but would like a refresher lesson.

There is no test at the end, but you are assessed throughout the course and on successful completion of all the subjects , some insurance companies offer discounts on car insurance. They offer this because statistics show that new drivers have far more accidents than those with more experience ,  but the more experience you have, the less likely you are to be involved in an accident.
